Confidentiality Statement

Under the terms of Article 35 of the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic, of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the Parliament and of the Council, of 27 April 2016, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, as well as, of Law 58/2019, of 8 August, which ensures the respective implementation of this Regulation in the national legal system, the information collected about visitors to the website is not of a personal nature, thus ensuring the confidentiality of the visitor's identity.


Personal Data Protection Policy

Within the scope of its activity, the National Cyber Security Centre (CNCS) collects and processes personal data for the purposes of the legal obligations to which it is bound. In the event that the collection and processing of personal data does not derive from a legal or contractual obligation, the CNCS shall always request the data subject's free, specific, informed and unequivocal consent to collect and process such data for the purposes indicated.
The CNCS, in its capacity of entity in charge of the processing, is committed to guaranteeing the confidentiality and security in the collection and processing of the personal data, to ensure that they will be used only for the purposes expressly authorised and will be kept only for the period of time deemed necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they are intended.
The data subject shall have the right to ask the CNCS for access to the personal data concerning him or her, the rectification or erasure of such data, the limitation of the processing of his or her data and the portability of the data when technically possible. The data subject may oppose the processing or withdraw the consent previously given at any time.
