What is the C-Academy?
The C-Academy is an advanced training programme in cybersecurity for public administration and the private sector developed by the Portuguese National Cybersecurity Centre following the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
To this end, the C-Academy's training offer, developed on the basis of the Competency Benchmark, includes 44 courses, distributed at different levels of demand and in online, in person or mixed formats, and classes of between 20 and 35 people, covering various areas relevant to the current and future cybersecurity landscape, such as engineering, management, law, among others.
C-Academy's training is provided in collaboration with various higher education institutions, which allows trainees who successfully complete the training to enjoy the accreditation of the higher education institution, as well as ECTS that will be recognized if they wish to continue their academic studies at any higher education institution.
C-Academy aims to:
To reach at least 9800 trainees until the first quarter of 2026 in partnership with Educational Institutions.
Who is C-Academy for?
The C-Academy is aligned with the Legal Framework for Cyberspace Security and, in this context, its priority recipients are::
However, once the vacancies for the priority recipients have been filled, the training will also be extended to the general public.
Although it is not a strict requirement, it is recommended that trainees complete the four e-learning courses offered by CNCS: Cybersecure Citizen, Cyber-Informed Citizen, Cybersecure Consumer and Cybersocial Citizen.
Additionally, each course identifies the requirements necessary for trainees to be able to successfully attend the training.
